The 'one-stop' service at the Cheltenham Shoulder Clinic is provided by Mr Jon Wand, Consultant Orthopaedic Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon, in conjunction with his Consultant Radiologists, Dr Matt Shaw and Dr Jes Green.
The aim of the unit is to provide the highest quality service to patients suffering from shoulder and elbow conditions, including sports injuries and trauma.
The aim of the clinic is to provide a full diagnostic service during one visit, including:
- Initial consultation with the Consultant Surgeon.
- X-rays and any “state of the art” MRI scanning as might prove necessary.
- Management and treatment plan given during a second consultation with the consultant surgeon, prior to leaving the clinic.
In the event of surgery being required, this would be performed at the Cheltenham and Gloucester Nuffield Hospital or the private wing of Cheltenham General Hospital.
